Gases can be used in many areas, sometimes we aren’t even aware in which ones. Nitrogen as protective gas in food packaging, neon in gas discharge tubes, chlorine as bleaching agents and for disinfecting, acetylene for welding. And don’t forget the many households that cook with gas - methane is used for that purpose!
